Sachin Tendulkar

In April 2011 Shri Saibaba Sansthan temple trust at Shirdi in Maharashtra instituted an award called the “Sai Ratna” in recognition of great achievements by Indians.
Iconic batsman Sachin Tendulkar was the first to receive 'Sai Ratna' award, in recognition of his achievements.
Even though Tendulkar, missed out on his 100th International century, his immense efforts helped India lift the coveted trophy by defeating Sri Lanka by six wickets in the World Cup final in Mumbai on Saturday night. The last time India won this coveted trophy was in 1983 when Kapil Dev was at the helm as Captain.
