“Once a mother, always a mother”

"The mother loves her child most divinely, not when she surrounds him with comfort and anticipates his wants, but when she resolutely holds him to the highest standards and is content with nothing less than his best." - Hamilton Wright Mabie

When a child is born, a mother is born too.  The moment she gives birth to the child, a big shift takes place and her life has a purpose and becomes meaningful.  When she looks into those beautiful eyes, she looks into her own being. From being a woman, she immediately transforms into a mother who can show pure, unconditional love. She enjoys the pranks and all the joys of life growing up with him.

 Enna thavam seythanei  yeshoda
engum nirai parabramam amma enrazhaika
(What great penance have you done, Yashodha? To be so fortunate as to be addressed lovingly as “Mother” by (Krishna), the omnipresent parabrahmam himself)

A mother gives her love, shares her experience, but never imposes anything on him. She then sees him grow into a beautiful person.

Of course, every Mother knows, raising a child means never really getting a day off, even if it is The Mother’s Day.
